What this is
Cà Phê Nào is an unfinished app shared privately with a handful of friends and developers for testing. There are no accounts and no public launch. While we test, we collect a small amount of anonymous usage data so we can see how the app performs and improve it.
What we collect
- An anonymous device id — a random value stored in a cookie on your device. It isn’t linked to your name, email, or any account.
- The area you search (the map location and radius). This is sent to Google to find nearby cafés and logged with your searches. We don’t track your live GPS position continuously.
- Device & browser info — user-agent, screen size, timezone, language — and your IP address.
- How you use the app — which cafés you’re shown, your swipe choices (pass / save / go), photos viewed, plus timings and any errors.
Café details and photos come from Google Places and are cached on our server to reduce cost and speed things up.
What we don’t collect
No name, email, phone, contacts, or payment details. No continuous location tracking. Your location is used only to find cafés near the spot you search.
Why we collect it
Purely to develop and debug the app during this test — to understand what works, catch errors, and make it better before any real release. It is not sold, shared, or used for advertising.
Where it’s stored & how long
Usage data lives in a development database tied to this test build. Café data refreshes on a weekly cycle. When the test wraps up, the collected data is deleted.
Your choices
- Clearing this site’s cookies / data resets your anonymous id.
- You can ask us to delete the data tied to your device at any time.
- If you’d rather not be included, just stop using the test build.

This is a plain-language note for a private development build, not a formal privacy policy. If Cà Phê Nào is ever released publicly, this will be replaced with a full policy.
